Education and resource platform—built to turn standards and regulatory expectations into real execution, ensuring the Tattoo and body modification trade and industry are sustainable and safe for generations to come.

What Inktegrity is

Inktegrity Inc. is an independent Delaware nonprofit corporation, exempt under §501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code (EIN 41-4565235). It operates as the neutral convening platform of the tattoo, PMU, and body art/modification industry — the structured forum where manufacturers, distributors, studios, practitioners, regulators, academic researchers, medical professionals, and public-health experts come together to develop standards, share evidence, and hold the industry accountable to the public it serves.

Inktegrity's mission is broader than any single organization's membership. It serves the public by translating science, regulation, and field experience into open standards, education, and transparency. Stakeholder participation in standards development, working groups, and public education is open to qualified participants regardless of affiliation.

Under a written affiliation agreement with the Tattoo Industry Manufacturers Alliance, Inc. (TIMA), Inktegrity additionally provides member tools, templates, training, and implementation guidance to TIMA members — helping responsible manufacturers, distributors, studios, and professionals build defensible systems with clarity and confidence.

Independent Governance. Inktegrity Inc. is governed by its own Board of Directors, composed of independent public-health and body-art-safety professionals with no overlapping affiliations as officers, directors, or substantial donors of TIMA. All standards, research, and educational positions adopted by Inktegrity are determined by the Inktegrity Board independently of TIMA, its members, and its sponsors.
