The Expert Contributor Membership is designed for qualified subject matter experts who are committed to advancing informed dialogue, public health alignment, and responsible industry progress within the tattoo and body art sector.

This membership level connects regulatory officials, academic researchers, medical professionals, scientists, and other technical experts to structured discussions, working groups, and educational forums through Inktegrity.

(If you are unsure whether you qualify as an Expert Contributor, contact us before applying. This membership is limited to the individuals and organizations listed above. All other applicants should select a Monthly or Discounted Annual Membership.)

What This Membership Provides

  • Access to committee discussions and working groups

  • Direct engagement with manufacturers, practitioners, and policy leaders

  • Education on products, product uses, manufacturing practices, and risk considerations to support informed enforcement, regulatory development, and modification

  • Opportunity to contribute technical insight toward evolving industry standards

  • Recognition as a subject matter contributor within the platform

This position is non-voting. The Expert Contributor body may have one representative seat on the Inktegrity Board of Directors to ensure technical perspective is represented at the governance level.

Studios — $250/year or $25/month (includes up to 10 artists)

Includes:

  • Member portal access + education briefings

  • Practical safety and documentation guidance for professional use

  • Participation as a VOTING MEMBER in roundtables and committees and working groups (as available)

*All consultants and third party membership applications will be vetted and voted on by committee to ensure alignment with TIMA’s and Inktegrity’s missions

  • Membership dues to TIMA, a nonprofit trade association currently in the process of applying for recognition as a 501(c)(6) tax-exempt organization with the Internal Revenue Service, are not charitable contributions. Deductibility of dues as ordinary and necessary business expenses has not been determined and should be evaluated in consultation with a qualified tax advisor. Memberships may be canceled at any time to prevent future renewals; access remains active through the end of the current billing period.

Inktegrity Sponsorships directly support independent research, education, and transparency initiatives within the tattoo and body art industry.

Inktegrity is a nonprofit organization that has applied for recognition as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt entity and is currently awaiting IRS determination. It is dedicated to advancing science-based standards, public education, and collaborative solutions that promote safety, integrity, and long-term sustainability across the industry. Sponsorship funding supports research projects, educational programming, industry resources, and outreach efforts that benefit practitioners, manufacturers, regulators, and the public alike.
